Our scented sachets are filled with aromatic hayflowers. We use only selected natural fragrances for scenting.
Hayflowers (Flores graminis), also known as grass blossoms, are a blend of blossom parts, seeds and smaller leaf and stalk fragments from various meadow plants. They consist primarily of couch grass, brome grass, ryegrass, meadow fescue, timothy grass, meadow foxtail, sweet vernal grass and cocksfoot.
The harvested hay is cut and cleaned by repeated sieving to remove coarse stalks, sand, dust and soil. In rural tradition, hayflowers are the fine plant parts that remain on the barn floor after the hay has been handled with a pitchfork.
The sachet gives off a pleasant yet unobtrusive fragrance wherever you take it.
