Consume as a food supplement before or with meals, as the fatty black cumin oil* contains approx. 70% unsaturated fatty acids. The oil is obtained from the seeds of the black cumin plant (lat. Nigella sativa). The plant belongs to the buttercup family. It is cultivated and harvested in the Middle East, in Syria, Turkey and Egypt.
In addition to being used for oil extraction, the seeds are also used as a spice on baked goods (e.g. flatbread) and other foods.
Mechanical pressing followed by filtration produces a fatty, green-brown, clear oil with a spicy aroma and a slightly pungent taste. The fatty oil contains approx. 70% unsaturated fatty acids, valuable accompanying lipids and approx. 1% essential oil. Even the pharaohs attributed health-promoting properties to black cumin. It has long been used in folk medicine and homeopathy and has proved its worth there for centuries.
Black cumin oil is classed as a food supplement. For supplementation, a daily intake of 10 drops twice a day is recommended. Occasional belching may occur, but usually disappears after some time.
