Peppermint leaves contain essential peppermint oil and are popular both as an infusion and as a spice. Their main constituent is menthol, which is found in greater amounts in older leaves.

Dosage / Method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, drink 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows 2-4 times daily.
Loose tea: Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 1 tablespoon (1.5 g) of peppermint tea and, if desired, strain through a tea sieve after about 10-15 minutes.
Filter bag: Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 1 tea bag and leave to infuse for about 10-15 minutes.
Duration of use
If acute complaints persist for longer than one week or recur periodically, consultation with a doctor is recommended.
